Come To Our Table - The Community Cookbook of Sharing and Caring

More than just another cookbook, Come To Our Table offers recipes and tips for getting the most out of your meals. The cookbook includes recipes from local bed & breakfasts, restaurants, caterers, and good samaritans. All proceeds from the sale of this cookbook benefit Samaritan House homeless shelter in Kalispell, Montana.

There are several interesting topics throughout the cookbook and one in particular offers some pretty awesome ideas on using up your leftovers. There are many more bits of informative info about the Samaritan House including opportunities and things you can do to get involved!

Who we served at Samaritan House in 2011:

  • Nearly 40 % of our residents were veterans

  • Almost 20% were under 18 years of age

  • Close to 15% were senior citizens.

How is the Samaritan house funded?

Montana homeless shelters receive no 'direct to client' state funding.

Budget breakdown for Samaritan House:

  • Donations and funding = 31 percent

  • Grants = 40 %

  • Apartment rentals = 28%

  • Miscellaneous sources = 1%

Samaritan House is a United Way member agency and in compliance with Equal Housing Opportunity.


We are proud to say that you can find the cookbooks for sale in our office for $20, we will be giving 100% of the $20 will go directly to our local Samaritan House! You can also purchase online and pickup in our office.
